A considerable measure of men blamed me for supporting only the ladies and a friend even flippantly blamed me for not posting about International Men’s Day. Its been a bustling day for me and YES, I remembered about the criticalness of the present date. So here you have it😘
International Men’s Day is celebrated globally on November 19; aims to celebrate “invisible” men who positively influence their gender.
The global day of celebration raises awareness of issues such as men’s mental health problems and male suicide. As suicide has been found to be the biggest killer of men under the age of 45, International Men’s Day aims to create a space for men to talk about mental health.
International Men’s Day tries to encourage men globally to be more embracing and open about mental health issues.
You are smart
You are handsome
You are hardworking
You are loved
You are wise
Look after yourself, don’t get depressed.
“The expectation of men to be the strong one is a hell of an expectation, it’s actually terrible; because what do you do with all the real human vulnerability? and then it goes back to what we started off talking about, you have to become the superhero. The big muscle man and you aren’t, you’re just a person. Some of you are strong and some of you are weak, you’re just a person and a full person has all the vulnerability in the world. We need men’s liberation, to liberate men from the shackles of having to be a warrior and perfect and a soldier and a killer and a big strong muscle man; to just be a person”. – Do you know who you are? Take some time and meditate on you. –M.I Abaga Ft Caryn Solomon
Today I join the world to celebrate all the Men, fathers, brothers, sons, boyfriends.
To all the amazing men in my life. Thank you for the positive values you bring to my life.
I’ll also like to specially celebrate my male readers, thank you for always reading and staying true. You all are the real MVP💓
I must say that I am looking forward to a future of emotionally intelligent men. Men not afraid to challenge their trauma. Men who value their women as equally as they do themselves. Men not driven by a fragile ego. Men who aspire to be better men.
Thank you, men, for being caring, strong, emotional, fun, dependable and amazing. Even though there are more dates set aside to celebrate women, I love that we always have a choice to celebrate people in our lives, whether they are men or women. The celebration doesn’t have to end today, let us keep it going.
