Hopefully, one day in the future
we'll look back
to this very present
that is to become our past
and see that all our sacrifices
big or small
were worth it.

First, police brutality.
Then the protest.
Followed by watery promises from government.
Protest gets more intense.
Then massacre by the military (20.10.2020)
Hoodlums take over.
More deaths.
Followed by destruction of properties.

FEAR. PAIN. LOSS.

Zero security.

CHAOS.

A sense of powerlessness overwhelms you - spiritually, communally, emotionally, financially.

Now, it is tribal bigotry.

The oppressor has a plan.

They know how to destroy you, in third-world fashion, and get away with it.

Our plan cannot be a bucket of emotions, desperate self-righteousness, and blame-game amongst ourselves.

WE NEED TO UNITE!!!!!!

I know it's been a while but some issues need to be addressed.

What's on the menu today? R.A.P.E.

A lot of people are enabling RAPE CULTURE via entertainment either knowingly or not. Yet come online to #saynotorape. The hypocrisy is pain.

Check skits - the skits that you like and share and applaud. Online advocacy has grey areas because the same people who applaud and share these stupid comedy skits that show a woman going into a room to meet someone, only for the door to be locked and the keys thrown to hades because a man likes the size of her breasts or butt are the same people who will join the voices online to end rape and assault.
All you need to do is STOP. Stop enabling Rape Culture. Just stop. Stop promoting it with your views, likes, shares, comments, and endorsement. How hard can it be?

In honour of Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) which was yesterday it will interest the general public to know that FGM/C is any procedures that cause injury to the female external genitalia without medical causes. According to the World health organisation latest update; over 200 million girls and women alive today have been cut in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. .

Its complications are either physical (range from bleeding and infection to death), psychological (such as anxiety and post traumatic stress) or sexual. .

All forms of FGM are associated with increased health risk in the short- and long-term. FGM is a harmful practice and is unacceptable from a human rights as well as a public health perspective, regardless of who performs it. Some health care providers perform FGM (medicalization), but OrphansCorp is opposed to all forms of FGM and strongly urges health care providers to not carry out FGM even when their patient or their patient’s family requests it. .

I have always had a thing for advocacy and helping

I have always had a thing for advocacy and helping people most especially selfless contributions to people and communities. So when @orphanscorp reached out to me last year about expanding their outreach to Oyo state I was more than happy to join the train of people whose vision aligned with mine.
•
Fast forward to hosting our very first outreach in Ibadan, Oyo state. It was a book corp. We went around schools to give branded exercise books and educational materials to children from low income families. It was a big success. Big ups to our National Leader, Mitchel and the amiable oyo team members.

Late June 2019, I was made the project coordinator for Oyo state.
•

We are also in Portharcout, Akwa-Ibom, Lagos and Abuja💜💜.
